Client: Sang Oh Company, Inc.
Frank M. Kea served as overall project manager, putting together the development team of architects, engineers, financial consultants and legal representatives to design the facility and generate the business plan that won the right to purchase the Washington Beef Building from the DC government, demolish the existing structure and develop the Gateway Market Center.
The Gateway Market Center is a 159,872 square foot wholesale, retail and office complex with integral parking facilities. The facility features three full floors and a mezzanine level.
Located at the entrance of the bustling Capital City Market in Washington, DC, otherwise known as the DC Market or the Florida Market, the Gateway Market Center will create a welcoming portal for many thousands of current and future customers. The Center will act as another component stabilizing the area alongside the Sam Wang Produce wholesale and retail market also owned by Sang Oh and Company which serves as the anchor in the market.
